THREADS

Cuauhtemoc, Mexico City

Fluid yet geometric, Threads pushes the boundaries of traditional office spaces from the typical to the extraordinary. Completed in 2016, this six-story commercial office building features 272 vertical, exterior curving fins that penetrate its interior like a wave, creating unique alcoves and workspaces. A play on function and form, Threads’ unique design creates an experience for both its users and passersby on the streets. Its dynamic layout maximizes unobstructed views of Mexico City and provides a unique sense of space. Meanwhile, laminated glazing with a low-E coating reduces heat and creates an exterior that changes throughout the day.

Threads has its roots in CDMX’s Cuauhtémoc neighborhood, the international business and retail district. Design, style, and high-end shopping characterize this urban oasis that will continue to see the influx of creative spaces like Threads in years to come.
