AURORA

Cuauhtémoc, Mexico City

A play on the dynamic relationship of indoor and outdoor space, Aurora brings to light a fresh perspective on creative office spaces. Located in the heart of Cuauhtémoc — Mexico City’s international business district — the eight-story monolithic structure comprises precast concrete panels cut into curved lines that create a series of slits in the exterior. This gives Aurora’s façade a unique, flowing shape that also forms space for balconies, a roof top terrace, and gardens. As the light changes from day to night, the eccentric framing illuminates Aurora’s different architectural features.

Inside, a minimalistic interior design seamlessly carries the exterior aesthetic inward, using unique combinations of textured panels, marble, glass and plants. Meanwhile, a two-story lightwell, lined with a green wall at the top, carries light down through the building and brings a fresh sense of the outdoors into the building.

Two blocks from Paseo de la Reforma, Aurora’s central location in the Cuauhtémoc neighborhood make it the gateway to international business endeavors. It also provides direct access to the high-end retail district, Parque de Chapultepec, and some of Mexico City’s top attractions.
