KARLA ZAMORA HERRERA

Karla Zamora Herrera joined the Grupo Anima team in 2001 and has been responsible for the design and oversight of numerous award-winning projects. She launched the firm’s hospitality division in 2017 and has lead a team of architects, interior designers and hospitality staff in the development and operations of six properties since that time.

Karla graduated from La Universidad Iberoamericana (IBERO), in Mexico City — one of the most prestigious universities in Latin America — with a bachelor’s degree in architecture in 2000. As a young architect, she gained her initial experience at a firm that specialized in residential and interior design. She eventually parlayed this expertise into creating Grupo Anima’s interior design team before rising to her current position leading the hospitality division.
